Winnebago still trying to find their way
The Winnebago Indians are 1-2 in their last three matches, losing 2-0 to Omaha Nation, but beating Walthill 2-1 last Tuesday at the Walthill Triangular. Winnebago lost 2-0 to Allen on Tuesday of this week as part of the Whiting, IA Triangular.
The Chiefs downed the Indians 25-14 in set one and 25-22 in set two.
Winnebago defeated the Blujays 25-19 in set one, lost set two 25-23, but rebounded to take set three 25-18.
The Eagles defeated the Indians 25-11 in sets one and two.
Winnebago did a nice job beating Walthill, but struggled in their other two matches they lost in the last week.
The Indians host Omaha Christian Academy (3-9) on Thursday.
The Eagles won 3-2 at Omaha Nation on Monday.
Winnebago defeated the Chiefs three times before losing to them last week so it will be interesting to see how the Indians fare against Omaha Christian Academy.
I give Winnebago the edge with the match being on their home floor, but it's not going to be easy.
The Indians are going to have to come to play, and will have to play much better than they did the last time against Omaha Nation, and against Allen.
Winnebago has some very winnable matches coming up so it's important for the Indians to play well so they can make a little run here at the end of the season.
It's very possible for Winnebago to catch fire here at the end of the regular season so we will see what this team can do.
Regardless of what happens Thursday and the rest of the season, the Indians have to continue to fight and battle.
If Winnebago continues to play hard and never gives up, good things can happen.
This team has to believe in themselves and one another to the point where they can get the job done.
It will be interesting to see how Thursday's match goes.
