Bancroft-Rosalie goes 2-2 in East Husker Conference Tournament

The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers went 2-2 in last week's East Husker Conference Tournament, defeating Logan View 2-0 on Thursday after losing 2-0 to Tekamah-Herman, also on Thursday.

Bancroft-Rosalie beat Twin River 2-0 before losing 2-0 to Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Saturday.

The Tigers took set one from the Panthers 25-11, and won set two 25-12.

Bancroft-Rosalie won set one over the Raiders 25-16, and claimed set two 25-13.

Kassidi Browning finished with 9 set assists.

The Panthers downed the Titans 25-23 in set one and 25-19 in set two.

Lauren Zuhlke had 9 set assists while Browning totaled 7.

The Cougars defeated Bancroft-Rosalie 25-17 in set one, and 25-21 in set two.

The Panthers had a decent showing in this tournament. Bancroft-Rosalie certainly didn't play the way they were hoping against Tekamah-Herman and Lyons-Decatur Northeast, but played well against Logan View and Twin River.

The Panthers (12-15) host Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (18-8) on Tuesday.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family went 3-1 in the East Husker Conference Tournament, knocking off Clarkson/Leigh and Wisner-Pilger 2-0 on Thursday, and losing 2-0 to North Bend Central and defeating Howells-Dodge 2-1 on Saturday.

This is going to be an awfully difficult match for Bancroft-Rosalie I'm afraid.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family has been playing some real good volleyball lately, and it's going to take the Panthers' best effort to win.

That's not to say Bancroft-Rosalie can't get the job done, because they can, but it's going to be very difficult.

I don't anticipate the Panthers having a very easy time with Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family. I could easily see Bancroft-Rosalie losing in three sets.

With that said, if the Panthers play up to their full potential, I could see this match going four or five sets.

It's important for Bancroft-Rosalie to play well with sub districts looming. The Panthers only have two regular season matches left so they have to make the most of them.

It will be interesting to see which Bancroft-Rosalie team shows up on Tuesday.

Even if the Panthers don't win, if they can at least push the match to four or five sets, there could be positives taken away.

It's getting down to crunch time for Bancroft-Rosalie. The Panthers need to make a push in these last two regular season matches to be ready to play well in the postseason.
