Lyons-Decatur Northeast has really come on as of late. The Cougars are playing excellent volleyball, and haven't missed a beat.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast (10-13) hosts Bancroft-Rosalie (10-11) Thursday evening.
The Panthers lost 3-0 at home to Clarkson/Leigh on Tuesday.
Bancroft-Rosalie had been playing excellent volleyball up until the third set of their match with Cedar Bluffs last week.
Now the Panthers are in kind of a funk and are trying to snap out of it.
The Cougars hope Bancroft-Rosalie doesn't snap out of it, and continues to struggle.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast has played so well lately that regardless of how the Panthers play, I think the Cougars have a good chance to win.
I could see this match going five sets, or I could see it being a sweep.
It all depends how Bancroft-Rosalie plays, and if Lyons-Decatur Northeast can continue their recent hot play.
The Cougars' top performers have to step up and play well for the team. Wakeley and Bacon in particular need to have outstanding matches.
A win would provide some much needed momentum heading into Tuesday's match with North Bend Central.
It's important for Lyons-Decatur Northeast to play well on Thursday evening to come away with the victory.
