Tekamah-Herman 2-4 in last six matches
The Tekamah-Herman Tigers have played decent volleyball over the last week or so, but are just 2-4 in their last six matches.
Tekamah-Herman lost 2-0 to Stanton and Oakland-Craig at the Stanton Triangular last Tuesday, and fell 3-1 to Arlington at home on Thursday.
The Tigers lost 2-0 to Platteview on Saturday at the Raymond Central Invite, but beat York 2-1.
Tekamah-Herman swept Pender 3-0 at home on Tuesday of this week.
The Tigers dropped set one to the Knights 31-29, and lost set two 27-25.
Tekamah-Herman fell 25-18 in set one to the Mustangs, and lost set two 25-15.
The Eagles took set one from the Tigers 25-16 before Tekamah-Herman won set two 25-21. Arlington won sets three and four 25-9 and 25-17.
The Tigers won set one over the Dukes 25-23. York came back to win set two 25-21, but Tekamah-Herman won set three 25-22.
The Tigers lost set one to the Trojans 25-16, and fell 25-13 in set two.
Tekamah-Herman beat the Pendragons 25-21 in sets one and two, and rolled in set three 25-11.
The Tigers haven't played bad volleyball lately, they've ran into tough competition. Tekamah-Herman was simply outmatched against the four opponents they lost to in the last week.
Tekamah-Herman (11-8) is at North Bend Central (15-3) on Thursday.
North Bend Central defeated Twin River 3-0 last Tuesday, and has been rolling as of late.
Tekamah-Herman has their work cut out for them, there's no doubt about it.
It's going to be awfully difficult for Tekamah-Herman to push this match to four or five sets, let alone win it.
Anything is possible though, and I think Tekamah-Herman has what it takes to make things interesting if they come to play.
For whatever reason Tekamah-Herman has struggled against the tough teams on their schedule although they took a set from Arlington.
Tekamah-Herman has to play their best match of the year to make things competitive.
Tekamah-Herman has to slow down Kristin and Allison Lux, doing what they can to limit their offensive production.
Tekamah-Herman has to get some easy sets and find a way to manufacture easy points. North Bend Central has been very good this year though so that is easier said than done.
Tekamah-Herman has to catch some breaks, especially with the match being on the road. The crowd will no doubt be into it for North Bend Central so Tekamah-Herman has to do what they can to not let them get inside their heads.
Winning the match and making things competitive comes down to playing well and executing. If Tekamah-Herman plays well in all facets of the game they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to. But if Tekamah-Herman doesn't come to play and executes poorly, the match could easily be a 3-0 sweep in favor of North Bend Central.
