Scribner-Snyder 1-5 in last six matches
The Scribner-Snyder Trojans lost 2-1 to Clarkson/Leigh and 2-0 to Wisner-Pilger on Thursday at the East Husker Conference Tournament, before beating Madison 2-0 and losing 2-1 to Pender at the tournament on Saturday. Scribner-Snyder fell 2-0 to Tekamah-Herman and Fremont Bergan at the Scribner-Snyder Triangular on Tuesday.
The Trojans lost 25-17 in set one to the Gators, and dropped set two 25-11.
Savanah Miller had 7 kills while Michaun Stucky posted 14 digs.
The Patriots took set one from Scribner-Snyder 26-24. The Trojans won set two 25-23 before the Patriots earned a 25-21 set three win.
Miller recorded 11 kills and 10 digs while Kaylee Boyle had 10 kills and 21 digs.
The Trojans knocked off the Dragons 25-21 in set one, and 25-22 in set two.
Miller posted 8 kills and 9 digs while Nicole Boyle notched 10 digs. Stucky and Kaylee Boyle added 7 digs apiece. Stucky and Nicole Boyle dished out 7 set assists each.
The Pendragons took set one from Scribner-Snyder 25-14. The Trojans won set two 25-21 before losing set three 25-15.
Kaylee Boyle registered 8 kills and 13 digs while Miller totaled 7 kills and 11 digs. Stucky finished with 12 digs while Nicole Boyle notched 11 digs and 9 set assists.
The Tigers defeated Scribner-Snyder 25-16 in set one and 25-9 in set two.
The Knights downed the Trojans 25-20 in set one, and 25-16 in set two.
Mackenzy Schreck notched 11 digs while Kaylee and Nicole Boyle had 10 and 8, respectively.
Scribner-Snyder has competed hard as of late, but their efforts haven't yielded them many wins. The Trojans need to keep fighting though. Scribner-Snyder can't give up on this season.
The Trojans (3-23) take on Logan View and Wisner-Pilger (22-6) at the Wisner-Pilger Triangular on Thursday.
The Raiders lost 2-0 to Stanton, Bancroft-Rosalie, and Pender at last week's East Husker Conference Tournament while the Gators went 3-1 in the East Husker Conference Tournament on Thursday and Saturday, and topped Twin River 3-0 on the road Tuesday.
It will be very difficult for Scribner-Snyder to knock off Wisner-Pilger, especially with the match being on the Gators' home floor. I think the Trojans have a good shot at beating Logan View though.
I think Scribner-Snyder has a respectable chance at winning three out of their last four matches, and creating some much needed momentum for sub districts.
The Trojans have two very winnable matches next week against Weeping Water and Omaha Christian Academy, and so it's important for Scribner-Snyder to play well on Thursday to build for those matches.
The Trojans have to step up their play and take things to a whole new level this week.
If Scribner-Snyder plays up to their potential I think they can win three out of their last four matches.
That's not saying the Trojans can't beat the Gators, because anything can happen, but I just don't see it happening.
If Scribner-Snyder could earn a 1-1 split on Thursday I think it could be good for momentum purposes heading into next week's matches.
The Trojans certainly have a chance to perform well this week and next, and need to make the most of their opportunities.
