Howells-Dodge 3-2 in last five matches
The Howells-Dodge Jaguars went 2-2 in the East Husker Conference Tournament last week and beat North Bend Central 3-2 at home on Tuesday.
Howells-Dodge won 2-0 over Oakland-Craig and Twin River on Thursday, and lost 2-0 to Stanton and 2-1 to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family on Saturday.
The Jaguars downed the Titans 25-16 in set one and 25-14 in set two.

The Mustangs took set one from the Jaguars 25-18, and won set two 25-20.

Howells-Dodge lost set one to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 25-16. The Jaguars won set two 31-29, but lost set three 25-19.
Sam Brester and Kalli Brester registered 8 kills apiece while Kulhanek, Kalli Brester, and Rolf added 18, 12, and 10 digs, respectively. Hegemann and Tessa Brester notched 11 set assists each.
The Jaguars took set one from the Tigers 25-23, and won set two 25-22. North Bend Central won sets three and four 25-21 before Howells-Dodge prevailed in set five 15-13.

The Jaguars put together a fantastic match on Tuesday. Howells-Dodge also played well on Thursday, but didn't play as well on Saturday. Luckily for the Jaguars they are starting to peak at the right time.
Howells-Dodge (18-8) hosts Tekamah-Herman (15-12) on Thursday.
The Tigers defeated Fremont Bergan and Scribner-Snyder at the Scribner-Snyder Triangular on Tuesday, and have been rolling in their own right.
Tekamah-Herman also went 2-2 in the East Husker Conference Tournament, and I look for this to be a pretty even match.
As good a win as the North Bend Central win was, the Jaguars have to refocus themselves and get ready for Tekamah-Herman.
The win over North Bend Central is not something Howells-Dodge should forget, but it's not something that should be on their minds during the match on Thursday.
The Jaguars must have total and complete focus on Tekamah-Herman, and must be ready for a tough match with the Tigers.
The emotion of the North Bend Central win was so high I'm sure, and the feeling of beating North Bend Central had to be ecstatic, and for Howells-Dodge to feel that kind of high again, they need to be ready to go full tilt for the entire match with Tekamah-Herman.
I'm sure the Tigers will come ready to play so the Jaguars have to be ready to roll from the get go. Howells-Dodge has to fight, scrap, and claw for every point in every set. I have a feeling this could be another long match for the Jaguars.
I like Howells-Dodge's chances of winning given the way the Jaguars have played at home, but anything can happen. I could certainly see Tekamah-Herman winning as well.
