Bancroft-Rosalie 0-2 in last two matches
The Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers are 0-2 in their last two matches, having lost 3-2 at home to Cedar Bluffs last Tuesday and 3-0 at home to Clarkson/Leigh this Tuesday.
Bancroft-Rosalie won set one over the Wildcats 25-20, and took set two 26-24. Cedar Bluffs rebounded to take set three 25-16, set four 25-19, and set five 15-9.
Tess Nottleman had 13 kills to lead the Panthers. Kassidi Browning totaled 16 set assists while Lauren Zuhlke notched 13.
The Patriots took set one over Bancroft-Rosalie 25-17, set two 25-23, and set three 25-9.
The Panthers played Cedar Bluffs tough, but for whatever reason have not played as well since set three of that match.
The loss to the Wildcats appears to have carried over to the loss to Clarkson/Leigh, and that is not a good sign for Bancroft-Rosalie.
The Panthers (10-11) take on Lyons-Decatur Northeast (10-13) on the road Thursday evening.
The Cougars won 3-0 at Logan View on Tuesday and have been rolling as of late.
Bancroft-Rosalie has to get back to playing the way they were two weeks ago.
The Panthers were playing excellent volleyball up until set three of the Cedar Bluffs match.
Bancroft-Rosalie has to get out of this funk they are currently in.
This is a huge match for so many reasons. It could very well be the last time these two teams ever play each other with them co-oping starting next year.
I'm sure it would be a special feeling for the Panthers to win on Thursday.
I think the match has the potential to be good, but I could also see it being a sweep. I honestly think it depends on which Bancroft-Rosalie team shows up.
It would be good for this rivalry to end with a great match, and I think both teams are definitely up to the task of providing an entertaining match.
Nottleman has to hit well for the Panthers and Browning and Zuhlke have to make good passes.
Bancroft-Rosalie also has to do a good job of slowing down Kelly Wakeley.
Catch Thursday evening's match on 107.9 the Bull. Things are set to get underway at 6:30 p.m.
