Wisner-Pilger 4-3 in last 7 matches

The Wisner-Pilger Volleyball Team defeated Crofton 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Battle Creek at their home Triangular last Thursday night before going 1-2 at the Wisner-Pilger Invitational on Saturday, defeating Pierce 2-1, losing 2-0 to Wayne, and 2-1 to Chambers/Wheeler Central. The Gators also swept Madison and Howells-Dodge 2-0 at their home Double Triangular Tuesday night.

The Bravettes downed Wisner-Pilger 25-23 in set one and 25-19 in set two.

Aspin Waterman had 12 digs while Emily Buhrman totaled 11. Adi Meyer added 7 digs and 10 set assists.

The Gators defeated the Warriors 25-21 in set one and 25-10 in set two.

Rachel Otten had 8 kills while Karrin Jindra had 10 digs. Waterman chipped in 8 digs while Buhrman totaled 7. Meyer registered 9 set assists.

The Gators won set one over the Bluejays 25-21, and took set three 25-8 after losing set two 25-23.

Jindra recorded 21 digs while Meyer notched 12 digs and 13 set assists. McGuire and Buhrman each had 8 digs while Otten compiled 7.

The Renegades won set one 25-23 and set three 25-14 after Wisner-Pilger won set two 25-19.

Waterman had 7 kills and 7 digs while Jindra totaled 15 digs. Meyer notched 11 digs and 16 set assists while Buhrman had 10 digs.

The Blue Devils won set one 25-14 and set two 25-11.

Jindra posted 10 digs while Meyer had 7 set assists.

The Gators downed the Jaguars 26-24 in set one and 25-14 in set two.

Otten had 9 kills while Buhrman compiled 13 digs. Jindra contributed 11 digs while Waterman had 9. Meyer recorded 7 digs and 10 set assists.

Wisner-Pilger beat the Dragons 25-10 in set one and 25-8 in set two.

Two good and strong wins on Tuesday after a few tough losses.

The Gators (12-6) battle Lutheran High Northeast (16-6) and GACC (9-7) at their own Triangular Thursday night.

The Eagles beat Crofton 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Norfolk Catholic at their home Triangular Tuesday night while the Bluejays lost 3-1 at Hartington Cedar Catholic Thursday night.

LHNE has been playing well lately so they'll be tough, and GACC is always tough no matter what.

I think Wisner-Pilger has a good chance to beat the Bluejays and could very well down the Eagles as well.

LHNE had been rolling prior to the loss to the Knights and GACC has been struggling lately

I feel the matches have a chance to go a number of different ways.

All three of these teams are good and pretty evenly matched so it should be a good night of Volleyball.

The Bluejays have a tough match at Battle Creek Tuesday night while the Eagles take on Shelby/Rising City and Clarkson/Leigh at the Shelby/Rising City Triangular Tuesday night.

So the Gators have a chance to sit back and lick their chops.

Wisner-Pilger has some extra practice time to get ready for both teams so that should help them I would think.

The Gators have to come out fired up and must defend their home court.

Wisner-Pilger has to come out and be on top of their game and be ready to play great Volleyball all night long.

Having 9 days off is probably not a bad thing for the Gators given all the matches they played from last Tuesday through this past Tuesday.

I look for Wisner-Pilger to be fresh and ready to go Thursday night.

Sometimes you have to worry or wonder about being a little sluggish after 9 days off, but the Gators have to come out and be as sharp as possible.

Wisner-Pilger has to come out and make a statement Thursday night, and make a push and run leading up to the East Husker Conference Tournament later this month.

It's the time of year where you want to play your best Volleyball, and the Gators have to be at their best from here on out.

Big opportunity and chances for Wisner-Pilger Thursday night so hopefully the Gators can take advantage of it and get the job done.
