The Emerson-Hubbard Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to Neligh-Oakdale and Pender at their home Triangular Thursday night before losing 3-0 at Cedar Bluffs on Saturday. The Pirates also lost 2-0 to Walthill and Wynot at the Walthill Triangular Tuesday night.

The Pendragons took set one 25-10 and set two 25-14.

Parker-Diaz totaled 9 digs while Bousquet added 8.

The Wildcats won set one 25-15, set two 25-10, and set three 25-11.

Schock had 16 digs while Gunderson totaled 11. Parker-Diaz added 9 digs and 8 set assists while Mackling posted 7 digs.

The Blujays won set one 25-11, and set two 25-20.

The Blue Devils took set one 25-12, and set two 25-13.

Time is starting to run out on Emerson-Hubbard winning a match this season.

The Pirates (0-18) host Homer (6-17) Thursday night.

The Knights beat Winnebago 2-1 and Whiting, IA 2-0 at the Winnebago Triangular Tuesday night.

Homer also owns a 2-0 win over Emerson-Hubbard at the Pirates' home triangular on September 5th.

I'm sure the Knights are licking their chops and chomping at the bit to play Emerson-Hubbard again.

I'm sure Homer feels that as long as they play the way they are capable of that they are going to win.

The Pirates have to do something extraordinary and extra in this match to come out on top.

Emerson-Hubbard has really struggled this year so the Pirates have to try something different to try and beat and throw off the Knights.

I'm not completely sure what that is or would be, but Emerson-Hubbard has to throw something at Homer that they're not ready for.

This might be the Pirates' last realistic shot at picking up a win this season.

There are still some regular season tournaments and sub-districts coming up, but who knows what will happen with matchups and stuff in those tournaments.

Emerson-Hubbard has to put their all and everything into this match.

The Pirates have to give it their all and do everything in their power to come away with a win.

Emerson-Hubbard doesn't want to finish their last season as a program winless, no one wants to go out that way.

But unless the Pirates pick up a win on Thursday and/or start playing better it could very well happen.

I sure hope it doesn't as I would really like to see Emerson-Hubbard win at least a match before season's end.

The co-op with Wakefield and Allen is coming soon, but the Pirates have to do what they can to win in their final season as the Emerson-Hubbard Pirates.

Emerson-Hubbard will ultimately decide how the script is written on them.

The Pirates can persevere and try and win at least a match or look ahead to brighter days in the future with the co-op.

It's up to them really.
