Logan View/Scribner-Snyder goes 2-1 at East Husker Conference Tournament

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Volleyball Team went 2-1 at the East Husker Conference Tournament, losing 2-1 to BRLD at North Bend Central Thursday night before winning 2-0 over Tekamah-Herman and 2-1 over West Point-Beemer on Saturday in Pender.

The Raiders took set one from the Wolverines 27-25 before losing set two 25-23 and set three 25-19.

Dream Daugherty had 12 kills and 13 digs while Emily Lewin posted 9 kills and 16 digs. Tyler Christianson and Elizabeth Hull each added 21 digs while Reagan Klein totaled 10 digs and 29 set assists.

LVSS won sets one and two over the Tigers 25-19.

Hull had 8 digs while Klein registered 7 digs and 20 set assists.

The Cadets won set one over the Raiders 25-15 before Logan View/Scribner-Snyder took set two 25-23 and set three 25-16.

Lewin had 10 kills and 11 digs while Christianson and Daugherty had 12 and 8 digs, respectively. Klein added 8 digs and 23 set assists.

Good play from the Raiders in the Conference Tournament I felt.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (14-13) plays host to Wisner-Pilger (18-10) and Fort Calhoun (12-14) in a Triangular Thursday night to round out the regular season.

The Gators won 3-1 at Twin River Tuesday night while the Pioneers lost 3-2 to Arlington in the Nebraska Capitol Conference Tournament Thursday night.

I could see the Raiders splitting this Triangular, beating Fort Calhoun and losing to Wisner-Pilger, or beating both teams.

Two wins would be really good for momentum heading into Sub-District play.

It's also the last time these seniors will ever play matches on their home floor.

I feel this Triangular is kind of a culmination of all the hard work and improvements Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has done and made throughout the course of the last three or four years.

It would be really fitting for the Raiders to sweep this Triangular.

It may not happen, but if it did what a way to send out the seniors in their last ever home matches.

These girls have to play inspired and must raise their level of play.

I feel a Triangular sweep could be what sparks a postseason run for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

The Raiders ought to feel like they're the favorite to win their Sub-District although it appears to be pretty wide open at this point.

LVSS has to fight and scrap hard and give it their all Thursday night.

I'm sure it will be a very emotional night for the players, coaches, parents, and fans.

It's hard to believe the Volleyball season is coming to an end, but there is only a couple of weeks left or so.

The Raiders have to make the most of the opportunity that lies in front of them, and try and go win themselves a Triangular.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can do it too they just have to go out there and make it happen and believe that they can do anything they put their minds to.

Every one of these girls is amazing in their own way, and they have to go out there and shine and be stars in the spotlight if you may.
