Logan View/Scribner-Snyder beats BRLD

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Volleyball Team won 3-1 at home over BRLD Tuesday night.

The Raiders won set one 25-18 and took sets three and four 26-24 and 25-22 after dropping set two 25-22.

Emily Lewin had 18 kills and 9 digs while Tyler Christianson posted 17 kills and 12 digs. Dream Daugherty added 13 kills and 23 digs while Kristal Svehla had 7 kills. Elizabeth Hull notched 20 digs while Reagan Klein registered 9 digs and 50 set assists.

Great offensive play from Logan View/Scribner-Snyder!

The Raiders (12-10) take on Fremont Bergan (19-10) and Oakland-Craig (17-7) at the Oakland-Craig Triangular Tuesday night.

O-C won 3-0 at home over Pender Thursday night while Bergan beat Omaha Concordia 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Hastings St. Cecilia in the Centennial Conference Tournament Thursday night.

Both teams figure to present very difficult challenges for LVSS, but if the Raiders play the way they did against the Wolverines, especially offensively, they can knock off both teams, in my opinion.

The East Husker Conference Tournament is coming up next Thursday and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder gets BRLD again at North Bend Central in their first match of the tournament.

I think how the Raiders do on Tuesday could dictate and factor into how well they play on Thursday.

It's never easy to beat a team more than once in a season, and so I think it's important for LVSS to play well on Tuesday for that reason.

A couple of wins for the Raiders on Tuesday could have them thinking upset and deep run in the EHC Tournament.

I don't feel the top teams in the conference this year are as tough as in years past so perhaps there will be an upset or two this year.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to be thinking why not us and go out there and play great Volleyball next week.

The stage is theirs, now the Raiders just have to go out there and perform on the big stage.

Lots of key and interesting matchups coming up before the regular season ends so now is the time for LVSS to be at their best.

The Raiders have to finish strong and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to make a final push to the finish line.

The Raiders have played well at times this year, and are starting to play well and pick things up again right now.

I feel LVSS has a chance to finish the regular season strong and make a strong postseason push.

The Raiders just have to play with tons of heart, effort, energy, enthusiasm, toughness, and grit, and must make the plays necessary to win matches.

I think a sub-state berth is very much within reach for this team so if anything they need to strive and work for that.
