Oakland-Craig 5-1 in last six matches

The Oakland-Craig Volleyball Team won 3-1 at BRLD Thursday night before losing 2-0 to Chambers/Wheeler Central, but beating Cross County 2-0 and Howells-Dodge 2-1 at the Clarkson/Leigh Invite on Saturday, and then going into West Point and beating DC West 2-1 and the host Cadets 2-0 at the West Point-Beemer Triangular Tuesday night.

The Wolverines won set one 26-24 before the Knights claimed set two 25-13, set three 25-21, and set four 25-23.

The Knights fell 25-14 in set one to the Renegades, and lost set two 25-20.

Oakland-Craig defeated the Cougars 30-28 in the first set, and 25-18 in the second set.

The Knights downed the Jaguars 25-19 in set one, and won set three 25-15 after losing set two 25-16.

Oakland-Craig topped the Cadets 27-25 in set one and 25-20 in set two.

The Falcons won set one 30-28 before the Knights took set two 25-23 and set three 25-22.

Magnificent stretch of Volleyball for Oakland-Craig. The Knights are really playing superb Volleyball right now.

Oakland-Craig (16-7) hosts Pender (6-16) Thursday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Pendragons won 3-1 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night.

Pender is really young, but talented.

The Pendragons have played well in spurts this year, and Pender is playing good Volleyball right now.

I'm not saying or suggesting that the Pendragons are going to upset the Knights, but Oakland-Craig has to be ready and can't overlook Pender.

Oakland-Craig has a big Triangular coming up on Tuesday against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and Fremont Bergan on their home floor, but can't be looking ahead to those matches.

The Knights have to be focused on the Pendragons and beating Pender Thursday night.

Oakland-Craig has been rolling lately as they've won 9 out of their last 10 so the Knights certainly have things going right now.

I think Oakland-Craig has to be pretty happy with the way they've played lately, and needs to keep it up.

The Knights have to remain hungry and must want more.

Oakland-Craig has a lot of matches left and a lot of noise yet to make this season, and so the train can't, doesn't, or shouldn't stop here.

The Knights have to keep the ball rolling Thursday night, and make this young Pendragon team uncomfortable and rattle them if at all possible.

Oakland-Craig has to be thinking make Pender nervous and force them into mistakes.

The Knights have to play good Volleyball, and not beat themselves.

Oakland-Craig has to eliminate or at least minimize mistakes, and play as flawless of a match as possible.

The Knights should be pretty confident heading into this one, and I wouldn't be shocked if Oakland-Craig swept this match.

I could also see the match going 4 or 5 sets, but fully expect the Knights to win and take care of business.

First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Bull.
