Good play and Volleyball from the Pendragons. I feel Pender is starting to come on.
Pender (6-16) travels to Oakland to battle Oakland-Craig (16-7) in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull Thursday night.
The Knights beat DC West 2-1 and West Point-Beemer 2-0 at the West Point-Beemer Triangular Tuesday night.
Oakland-Craig is on a roll right now, and is an experienced and veteran laden team.
The Knights are having a fantastic season and so it will be interesting to see if the Pendragons' youth and inexperience can keep up with the talent and expertise of Oakland-Craig.
I feel Pender has a chance to make this thing a match and compete.
I think the sets could be close, and perhaps the Pendragons will even be able to win a set or two.
I would love to have a great, close, and competitive match to call as I will be behind the mic calling the match Thursday night.
I called these same two teams in Pender last year, and look forward to another exciting and action packed match once again this year.
The Pendragons should play fearless and with nothing to lose.
Pender should be loose, relaxed, and calm heading into this one.
The girls have to laugh and joke around before the match and just enjoy and embrace the moment.
This is a very young Pendragon squad that I feel can and will be good in the future.
Pender has played well at times and in spurts this year, and the Pendragons are certainly playing well right now.
Perhaps Pender will catch Oakland-Craig on an off night....you never know.
Upsets happen all the time, and anything is certainly possible in this match Thursday night.
The Pendragons may be young, but they are mighty and don't lack heart.
It's kind of your classic David versus Goliath type match, and David has to come out swinging and roaring and fighting Thursday night.
David can't back down one bit and think for one second that he's not good enough to win.
First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Bull.
