BRLD loses to Oakland-Craig and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

The BRLD Volleyball Team lost 3-1 to Oakland-Craig at home last Thursday night, and fell 3-1 at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Tuesday night.

The Wolverines won set one over the Knights 26-24 before losing set two 25-13, set three 25-21, an set four 25-23.

The Raiders won set one 25-18 before BRLD took set two 25-22. LVSS won set three 26-24 and set four 25-22.

Two tough losses to two good teams, but the Wolverines will get another shot at the Raiders in the East Husker Conference Tournament on Thursday.

There's business to attend to before that though as BRLD (14-11) plays host to North Bend Central (15-6) Tuesday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

NBC won 3-0 at home over Tekamah-Herman Thursday night.

This should be a good match, and another opportunity for the Wolverines against a good, tough, top team.

North Bend Central may very well be the best team in the conference.

After all, they are the No. 1 seed in the East Husker Conference Tournament.

These two teams could very well meet in North Bend again next Thursday.

Tuesday's match should be interesting though.

I think the match is one BRLD needs to use to springboard them into the conference tournament.

It's the Wolverines' last chance to gain some momentum and try and get back on track before the tournament begins.

BRLD can definitely pull off the upset at home too they just have to go out there and make it happen.

The Wolverines have to get fired up and find some motivation from within before the game.

The girls have to get each other pumped, psyched, and jacked up in the locker room before the match.

The team should listen to their favorite tunes prior to taking the floor and then get all wound up with either the band or pump up music that figures to be played during warmups.

BRLD has to find a way to get over the hump and beat some of the tough teams on their schedule.

I feel the Wolverines have done really well against the teams they're supposed to beat, but have room for improvement against the big dogs.

BRLD needs to improve when playing the tough teams if they want to become a feared, great, and renowned program.

The Wolverines can definitely get there too as this season has been an improved one already for BRLD I feel.

The Wolverines just have to find ways to improve even more, and it all starts with the match against the Tigers Tuesday night.

First serve is set for 7:30 p.m. in Lyons.
