Oakland-Craig sweeps Arlington and Home Triangulars
The Oakland-Craig Volleyball Team swept the Arlington Triangular Thursday night, winning 2-0 over Arlington and GACC. The Knights then won 2-0 over Stanton and Tekamah-Herman at their home Triangular Tuesday night.
The Knights topped the Eagles 25-14 in set one and 25-18 in set two.
Oakland-Craig downed the Bluejays 25-18 in the first set, and 25-22 in the second set.
The Knights defeated the Mustangs 25-17 in set one and 25-21 in set two.
Oakland-Craig won 25-11 in set one over the Tigers, and took set two 25-15.
Great wins over GACC and Stanton for sure.
The Knights (11-6) host BRLD (14-9) Thursday night.
The Wolverines won 2-0 over Howells-Dodge and Madison at the Wisner-Pilger Double Triangular Tuesday night.
BRLD has won 5 in a row while Oakland-Craig has won 4 straight.
Both teams have been playing some great Volleyball as of late.
I feel the Knights have played and beaten tougher competition, and give Oakland-Craig the edge and advantage for that reason, but this match could go either way.
The match is at BRLD, and the Wolverines are going to be a very tough team.
The approach has to be the same for the Knights as it was against the Bluejays and Mustangs.
Oakland-Craig has to have that same toughness, determination, fire, passion, grit, pride, drive, and focus.
The Knights have to come out and play exceptional Volleyball Thursday night.
Oakland-Craig has to get pumped up and find some energy from within before the start of this one.
The Knights have to create their own energy and enthusiasm, and let it all out during the match Thursday night.
Oakland-Craig has to play great Volleyball from start to finish Thursday night, and go on the road and win in a tough environment.
The Knights have to serve and hit well under pressure, and must make all the hustle plays on defense as well.
Passing and serve receiving is going to be key, critical, and important for Oakland-Craig too I feel.
Every point of every single set counts and matters.
All points and plays are important, and the Knights have to realize and understand the value of everything.
Take one play off and that could end up being the difference in the match.
And I'm almost positive Oakland-Craig won't let that happen, but just wanted to stress the importance of playing hard at all times.
