Wisner-Pilger beats BRLD and Madison at Home Double Triangular

The Wisner-Pilger Volleyball Team beat Madison 2-0 and downed BRLD 2-1 at their home Double Triangular last Tuesday night.

The Gators defeated the Dragons 25-7 in set one and 25-11 in set two.

Emily Buhrman had 8 kills while Lily Otten totaled 7. Adi Meyer added 21 assists.

The Wolverines won set one 26-24 before Wisner-Pilger took set two 26-24 and set three 25-20.

Otten had 13 kills while Joslyn Jacobs totaled 8. Lindsey Kneifl chipped in 15 digs while Meyer posted 7 digs and 22 assists. Buhrman recorded 7 digs while Cameryn Bellar notched 15 assists.

Two very impressive victories for Wisner-Pilger.

The Gators (10-8) battle GACC (9-7) and Lutheran High Northeast (25-0) at the GACC Triangular Thursday night.

The Bluejays lost 3-2 at home to Battle Creek Tuesday night while the Eagles beat Shelby-Rising City and Clarkson/Leigh 2-0 at their home Triangular Tuesday night.

This is a very difficult Triangular for Wisner-Pilger.

The Bluejays have been in a lot of five set matches and pushed some top teams to the brink while LHNE has been unstoppable and untouchable.

You have to wonder about the long layoff for the Gators and how that will affect them in both matches.

Wisner-Pilger gets the Eagles first so they have to be ready to go come Thursday night.

I look for this Triangular to be a pretty competitive one overall.

I think LHNE has a really good chance to win it, but both the Gators and Bluejays are solid in their own right.

The match between GACC and Wisner-Pilger at the end of the night should be a dandy.

The Eagles beat the Gators 2-0 at the Northeast Nebraska Classic on September 3rd.

This is the first meeting of the season between the Bluejays and Wisner-Pilger.
