The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Volleyball Team won 3-1 over Arlington before losing 3-0 to Oakland-Craig at the C1-5 Sub-District in Oakland Monday night.
The Raiders took set one from the Eagles 25-20, and won set two 25-10 before taking set four 25-14 after losing set three 25-12.
Dream Daugherty had 8 kills and 11 digs while Karlie Hansen totaled 10 digs. Elli Christianson added 7 assists.
The Knights took set one 25-17, set two 25-13, and set three 25-11.
Good win for LVSS over Arlington, something to build on for next year for sure.
The Raiders end the year at 7-23.
It was a struggle this year for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, especially at the end of the season.
I think the Raiders can take solace in how they beat the Eagles in Sub-Districts though.
This was a difficult year from the standpoint of the pandemic and LVSS was kind of retooling things so to speak.
It can only go up from here, and I look for the Raiders to be a force to be reckoned with next season.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder says goodbye to Stormy Poast, Maddy Brainard, and Kristal Svehla.
The Raiders bring back Daugherty, Hansen, Christianson, Grace Schlueter, Cadynce Stockamp, and Leah Keithley, among others.
Next year figures to be promising for LVSS given who all returns.
The three seniors will definitely be missed, but the Raiders return their core group of players.
I look for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to grow and develop over the offseason, and be much improved next year.
I think Daugherty will have a great senior campaign and feel the other players will make some nice improvements to compliment her nicely.
Let's just hope the pandemic clears up and things are back to normal for the start of next season.
