Tekamah-Herman winless in last five matches

The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to North Bend Central last Thursday night in the East Husker Conference Tournament at Oakland-Craig before losing 2-0 to Wisner-Pilger and 2-1 to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in Consolation Matches at Stanton on Saturday. The Tigers then fell 3-0 at Fremont Bergan Tuesday night, and then lost 3-0 at home to Howells-Dodge Thursday night to end the regular season.

NBC won set one 25-19 and set two 25-23.

The Gators took the first set 25-16, and the second set 25-10.

The Tigers won set one over the Bulldogs 25-23 before dropping sets two and three 25-12.

The Knights won set one 25-18, set two 25-13, and set three 25-14.

The Jaguars claimed set one 25-9, set two 25-18, and set three 25-10.

Tekamah-Herman has been sort of up and down with their play as of late.

The Tigers (6-22) battle Howells-Dodge (22-4) again Monday night in the C2-3 Sub-District from Howells in action that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

I look for Tekamah-Herman to play better this time around against the Jaguars and compete well.

Howells-Dodge won fairly easily the first time around.

This is the postseason though and I fully expect the Tigers to be on top of their game and give it their all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Tigers kept the sets close or even took a set from the Jaguars.

Even if Tekamah-Herman can't beat Howells-Dodge, they have to take something positive away heading into next season.

The Tigers have done some nice things this year, and have to continue to build upon that Monday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to give it all they got and play well Monday night.

Anything can happen this time of year, and the Tigers have to believe in themselves and in one another.

Tekamah-Herman has to take it to the Jaguars as much as possible, and try and give Howells-Dodge all they can handle and then some.

This could easily be another 3-0 sweep for the Jaguars, but the Tigers hope that is not the case.

First serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on the Bull.
