Tekamah-Herman goes 1-2 at Raymond Central Invite; loses at Pender

The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team went 1-2 at Saturday's Raymond Central Invite, losing 2-1 to Nebraska City and Crete, but beating Fairbury 2-1. The Tigers then fell 3-0 at Pender Tuesday night.

The Pioneers took set one from Tekamah-Herman 25-20, and won set three 25-11 after losing set two 27-25.

The Tigers beat the Cardinals 25-21 in set one before losing set two 25-21 and set three 25-19.

The Jeffs won set one 25-9 before Tekamah-Herman won set two 26-24 and set three 25-20.

The Pendragons won set one 25-23, set two 25-12, and set three 25-20.

I am impressed by the Tigers' play as of late. Tekamah-Herman has been consistent in taking a set or at least keeping sets close against everyone they have played.

Tekamah-Herman (6-15) plays host to North Bend Central (11-8) Thursday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

NBC lost 3-2 at Malcolm Thursday night.

I look for this match to close and competitive.

I think North Bend Central could perhaps win a close match or perhaps Tekamah-Herman can pull the upset.

I feel this match can truly go either way.

NBC is always tough though, and won't be easy for Tekamah-Herman to upset.

I have been really impressed with Tekamah-Herman's ability to step up and challenge the tough teams though.

Tekamah-Herman took a set from two Class B Schools on Saturday and also took a set from BRLD at their home Invite on September 19th.

I feel like Tekamah-Herman has played their best Volleyball of the season since that time.

Did Tekamah-Herman fall off a little bit by not winning a set at Pender Tuesday night? Perhaps, but two of the sets were close and the Tigers were just coming off of 3 tough matches on Saturday.

I'm sure Tekamah-Herman isn't a team to make excuses though so I look for them to pick things up Thursday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to rise to the challenge once again and give North Bend Central everything they got.

First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull.
