The Pender Volleyball Team fell 3-0 at home to Oakland-Craig Thursday night before winning 3-0 at Homer Tuesday night.
Oakland-Craig won set one 25-13, set two 25-19, and set three 25-12.
The Pendragons beat Homer 25-22, 25-17, and 25-18.
Good bounce back win for Pender Tuesday night.
The Pendragons (13-11) take on Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (10-12) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Clarkson/Leigh Thursday night.
The Bulldogs beat Twin River 2-0, but lost 2-0 to Howells-Dodge at their home Triangular on Saturday.
Pender beat H/LHF 3-1 on the road on September 29th.
That was an impressive win for the Pendragons, and I think Pender can definitely do it again.
It won't be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is certainly very doable.
The winner gets Clarkson/Leigh at 7:00 p.m., and the Patriots would be tough to knock off.
I feel like the Pendragons can beat the Bulldogs and give Clarkson/Leigh a run for their money.
Pender is a much improved team over last year, and I look for the Pendragons to do some good things on Thursday.
Pender should be very proud of what they have accomplished so far, but have to want more.
The Pendragons have to remain hungry and have to keep learning and find new ways to improve and up their game.
There's always things a team or a player can do to improve their craft, and that certainly holds true for Pender.
The Pendragons have to come into this Tournament fearless and ready to make some noise.
Opening serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
