West Point-Beemer 2-2 in last four matches

The West Point-Beemer Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to Oakland-Craig and beat DC West 2-1 at the Oakland-Craig Triangular last Tuesday night before falling 3-0 at home to Malcolm last Thursday night. The Cadets then topped BRLD 2-0 at home in the East Husker Conference Tournament Thursday night.

The Falcons won set one 26-24 before West Point-Beemer took sets two and three 25-21.

Jadyn Meiergerd had 13 kills and 14 digs while Sidney Swanson added 11 kills. Rachel Groth totaled 10 kills while Brooklyn Weddle notched 16 digs. Reece Snodgrass compiled 16 digs and 38 assists.

The Knights won set one 25-19 and set two 25-23.

Weddle had 13 digs while Snodgrass notched 7 digs and 14 assists.

The Clippers won set one 25-18, set two 25-19, and set three 25-16.

Weddle compiled 17 digs while Snodgrass had 7 digs and 14 assists. Swanson added 7 digs.

The Cadets won set one 25-21 and set two 25-22 over the Wolverines.

Groth had 8 kills while Weddle totaled 15 digs. Snodgrass chipped in 9 digs and 15 assists while Emily Toelle had 7 digs.

Really good bounce back win for West Point-Beemer Thursday night. It appears as if the week off rejuvenated the Cadets.

West Point-Beemer (18-7) takes on Pender (15-11) in the East Husker Conference Tournament Semifinals at Stanton on Saturday.

The Pendragons won 2-1 over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and upset Clarkson/Leigh 2-0 in Clarkson Thursday night.

This figures to be an interesting Semifinal to say the least.

Pender is a team that can't be underestimated or taken lightly.

With that said, it's the Cadets' time to win and get to the Championship.

West Point-Beemer wants to win Championships, and now the stage is set for the Cadets to do so.

West Point-Beemer has to go out there and get the job done come Saturday.

The winner gets either Howells-Dodge or North Bend Central in the Championship.

Both of those teams are very good too, but I think the Cadets would have a chance to beat either in the Championship.

First things first though West Point-Beemer has to get past Pender.

Meiergerd, Swanson, Groth, Weddle, and Snodgrass all have to be on top of their games for the Cadets.
