The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team lost 3-0 at home to North Bend Central Thursday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before falling 3-1 at home to Wisner-Pilger Tuesday night.
NBC won set one 25-21, set two 25-20, and set three 25-11.
Tekamah-Herman scored the first point of each set, and in the first set tied things at 5, 6, and 8 before North Bend Central created some breathing room for themselves on their way to the set win.
Tekamah-Herman went up 3-1 in set two, but North Bend Central went up and once again proved to be too much.
Elena Jetensky led Tekamah-Herman with 11 kills, and Brynn Schmidt added 9.
The Gators won set one 25-22 before the Tigers took set two 25-23. Wisner-Pilger then won set three 25-11 and set four 25-14.
Good job by Tekamah-Herman being competitive against both teams.
North Bend Central (12-9) and Tekamah-Herman (6-17) will meet again on Thursday in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Oakland-Craig at 6:00 p.m.
NBC lost 3-1 at home to BRLD Tuesday night.
I think Tekamah-Herman can challenge North Bend Central once again and even take a set this time.
A win is really not out of the realm of possibility either, but it won't be easy.
The winner gets Oakland-Craig at 7:00 p.m., and so if Tekamah-Herman is to get to the Semifinals they have their work cut out for them.
I've really been impressed with Tekamah-Herman and their scrappiness and grittiness and the way they've fought and battled.
Tekamah-Herman has made some nice improvements this season, and I look for them to compete well once again Thursday night.
