The Stanton Volleyball Team lost 3-0 at home to Pierce Thursday night before sweeping Twin River 3-0 at home Tuesday night.
The Bluejays won set one 25-17, set two 25-16, and set three 25-14.
Olivia Cunningham had 8 digs and 8 assists while Kinley Pohlman totaled 8 digs.
The Mustangs defeated the Titans 25-9 in set one, 25-10 in set two, and 25-13 in set three.
Good win for Stanton Tuesday night.
The Mustangs (5-18) take on Wisner-Pilger (12-12) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Howells-Dodge Thursday night.
The Gators won 3-1 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night.
These two teams met in Stanton on September 22nd in a Triangular with Wisner-Pilger winning 2-0.
I think Stanton beating Twin River gives the Mustangs some momentum heading into this one.
And depending on how the Gators play I think Stanton can compete with and make things interesting against Wisner-Pilger potentially.
The Mustangs have to come ready to play and have to have the will, drive, and determination to win.
Stanton has to play hard and with great effort..
The Mustangs have to execute whether they're in or out of rotation, and must minimize errors.
Stanton has to put good swings on the ball, and hit the ball with authority.
The Mustangs have to do everything with maximum effort and play their tails off.
Stanton has to come out and give it their all and give things their best shot come Thursday night.
The winner gets Howells-Dodge at 7:00 p.m. following their 6:00 p.m. match in Howells.
The Mustangs have their work cut out for them so we'll see what happens.
