Stanton swept by Wayne and Howells-Dodge

The Stanton Volleyball Team fell 3-0 at home to Wayne Thursday night before losing 3-0 at Howells-Dodge Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils won set one 25-15, set two 25-18, and set three 25-19.

The Jaguars won the first set 25-12, set two 25-11, and set three 25-14.

A couple of losses to some top notch teams. I thought the Mustangs did a nice job keeping things fairly close with Wayne.

Stanton (4-17) entertains Pierce (10-10) at home Thursday night.

The Bluejays won 2-0 over Boone Central/Newman/Grove, but lost 2-0 to the Blue Devils at their home Triangular Tuesday night.

The scores against Wayne were similar for both the Mustangs and Pierce.

The Bluejays might of played the Blue Devils a little bit closer though.

That still has to give Stanton some hope heading into this one though.

The Mustangs are scheduled to play Twin River on Tuesday so hopefully that match gets played as I know the Titans have had issues with COVID-19.

That is a match I feel Stanton would more than likely win.

So the Mustangs have to come out and play well against Pierce Thursday night and do some things that will give them some momentum and lift their spirits and help them out moving forward.

Stanton probably isn't about moral victories, but if the Mustangs maximize their potential and play Pierce as tough as they possibly can then I think that would make them happy perhaps.

The Mustangs just have to find something positive to take away from this match.

Stanton is just 1-11 in their last 12 matches.

Kennedy Warneke of Pierce appears to be a player Stanton will need to try and slow down.
