Winnebago sweeps home Triangular; falls at Ponca

The Winnebago Volleyball Team won 2-1 over Omaha Christian Academy and 2-0 over Walthill at their home Triangular last Thursday night before losing 3-0 at Ponca Tuesday night.

The Indians downed the Blujays 25-12 in set one and 25-19 in set two.

The Indians took set one from the Eagles 26-24, and won set three 25-15 after losing set two 25-19.

Ponca won set one 25-10, set two 25-8, and set three 25-21.

I thought Winnebago did really well in their home Triangular, and pushed Ponca in the last set.

Winnebago (3-3) hosts the Winnebago Invite on Saturday.

Other teams in the tournament include Omaha Nation, Walthill, and Santee.

I think the Indians have a great chance to go 3-0 in this tournament.

Winnebago has already beaten Walthill, and should beat Santee fairly easily I would think.

The Chiefs figure to be tough, but I think being at home helps the Indians.

Winnebago ought to be happy with being at .500 right now, but has to want more.

The Indians can't be satisfied with where they're currently at, they have to keep pushing and pressing forward.

Winnebago has shown improvement so far this year I think, and that has to continue on Saturday.

The Indians have to be pumped and fired up for this tournament, and must be excited to play on Saturday.

Winnebago has to wake up ready to play great Volleyball all day long.

The Indians have to eat the breakfast of champions and be motivated, excited, and ready to go come Saturday.

Winnebago also needs a good night's sleep with the football team being off this week.

The team needs proper rest so they can come with and bring lots of energy on Saturday.

The Indians have to focus on competing hard and winning.

Winnebago has to find ways to be Queens of the Court on Saturday, and take this Invite.

The Indians have to play with the heart of a champion, and show that they are the superior team on Saturday.

If Winnebago can get to 6-3 that would be a huge and tremendous accomplishment for this team and program.

It can definitely happen too, and the Indians should expect it to happen.

Winnebago has to come out excited, thrilled, and motivated to play the game on Saturday.

The Indians have to take it to the Chiefs, Blujays, and Warriors.
