Oakland-Craig comes up short against North Bend Central

The Oakland-Craig Volleyball Team lost 3-2 at home to North Bend Central Tuesday night.

The Knights won set one 25-14 before the Tigers took set two 25-21. Oakland-Craig won set three by the same score before North Bend Central took set four 25-14 and set five 15-12.

Tough loss for the Knights. Oakland-Craig had the Tigers right where they wanted them, but couldn't quite close things out.

The Knights (7-6) battle GACC (8-4) and Arlington (3-8) at the Arlington Triangular Thursday night.

The Bluejays won 3-0 at Homer Tuesday night while the Eagles fell 2-0 to Stanton and Hartington Cedar Catholic and 2-1 to Twin River at the Stanton Invite on Saturday.

I feel Oakland-Craig will be able to beat Arlington no problem, but GACC will be really tough.

The Bluejays are 6-2 in their last 8 matches and have really come on strong lately.

I feel like the Knights have been sort of inconsistent lately, and aren't playing as well right now as they were then.

With that said, Oakland-Craig beat GACC 2-1 at the Northeast Nebraska Classic on September 7th.

I feel this time around could be different as I feel both teams have gone in opposite directions since that match in a lot of ways, but still feel the Knights can pick up the win.

Oakland-Craig has to get back to playing the type of Volleyball they've played in their wins.

The Knights have competed well in their losses against very solid competition for the most part though.

Oakland-Craig has played and faced a lot of good teams, and that figures to bode well for them Thursday night.

The Knights have already beaten the Bluejays, and know they can get the job done.

Beating a team twice is always difficult, but Oakland-Craig is definitely capable of making it happen.

The Knights just have to go out there and play solid Volleyball from start to finish, and that goes for both matches.

Oakland-Craig has to get over the hump and find some consistency.

The Knights have picked up some big wins this year, but I feel Oakland-Craig can be even better.

I would say the Knights are a solid team right now, but need to pick things up to be top of the line and great.

Oakland-Craig can definitely be that type of team too, they just need to raise their level of play and play even better than they already have been so far this year.
