The Stanton Volleyball Team is 3-4 in their last 7 matches, beating Boone Central/Newman Grove 2-0, and losing 2-0 to Norfolk Catholic at the Norfolk Catholic Triangular last Thursday, losing 2-0 to Ponca and Hartington Cedar Catholic, butt beating Clarkson/Leigh 2-0 at the Stanton Tournament on Saturday, and winning 2-0 over Pender, but losing 2-0 to Wisner-Pilger at the Wisner-Pilger Triangular on Tuesday.

Not bad play from Stanton, but I feel the Mustangs can still be better.

Stanton (11-8) takes on Oakland-Craig (9-6) and Tekamah-Herman (2-14) at the Oakland-Craig Triangular Tuesday night.

The Knights beat GACC and Arlington 2-0 at the Arlington Triangular Thursday night while the Tigers beat Madison 3-0 at home Tuesday night.

Both opponents figure to be tough, especially Oakland-Craig.

The Knights have been playing well lately, and really stepped things up the other night.

Tekamah-Herman is a sneaky team and can beat anyone on any given night so the Mustangs have to watch out for them too.

If I had to guess how things are going to go I would say Stanton beats Tekamah-Herman, but loses to Oakland-Craig.

The Mustangs can definitely win and sweep this Triangular though if they play up to their potential.

Stanton's stats have been better in their most recent matches, and that has to continue for the Mustangs.

Stanton has to step things up and be even better than they already have been this season.

The Mustangs are having a respectable season so far, but I feel Stanton can be even better.

The Mustangs have to get back to the elite level they've played at in the past, and be dominant.

Sylvia Cunningham, Locke, Colwell, Morgan Remm, and Olivia Cunningham need to continue to lead and carry this team offensively.

Kment, Marissa Remm, and others need to continue to get the job done defensively for this ball club.

Stanton has to keep getting great contributions from everyone and continue to work on becoming a great team.

The Mustangs are putting up the type of numbers to be great, but Stanton isn't winning the big matches like they have in the past and are accustomed to.

The Mustangs have beaten some good teams, but have lost to a lot of good teams as well.

Stanton has to find their best form and regain the form they played with in wins over teams like North Bend Central and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

The Mustangs have to keep improving, persevering, and playing hard in an effort to right the ship.

If Stanton can do that they should put themselves in a position to be successful.
