Tekamah-Herman goes winless at Northeast Nebraska Classic; splits Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Triangular
The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team went winless at the Northeast Nebraska Volleyball Classic before splitting the Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Triangular on Tuesday with the host Raiders and Twin River.
Tekamah-Herman lost 2-0 to North Bend Central and Fremont Bergan at the Classic Thursday night before falling 2-0 to Pender, BRLD, and Wakefield-Allen in the Bronze Division on Saturday.
The Tigers lost 2-1 to Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, but won 2-0 over Twin River at Tuesday night's Triangular.
North Bend Central won sets one and two 25-15.
The Knights took sets one and two 25-12.
The Wolverines claimed set one 25-19 and set two 25-18.
The Trojans earned a 25-18 win in set one, and took set two 25-16.
The Pendragons won 25-23 in set one, and 25-20 in set two.
The Tigers topped the Titans 25-15 in set one and 25-18 in set two.
Tekamah-Herman took set one from LVSS 27-25 before the Raiders won set two 25-20 and set three 25-14.
I thought the Tigers played really well Tuesday night. Big difference from their play in the Northeast Nebraska Classic.
Tekamah-Herman (1-7) takes part in the Boone Central Invitational on Saturday.
Other teams in the tournament include Stanton, the host Cardinals, and Columbus Lakeview.
Challenging tournament with some good teams for the Tigers.
I think Tekamah-Herman can definitely do well in this tournament, especially given how they played Tuesday night.
I think the way the Tigers played perhaps gives them renewed confidence and hope.
Tekamah-Herman played a great Triangular Tuesday, and now has to build off of that.
The girls have to be confident and inspired and ready to roll on Saturday.
The Tigers know they are capable of playing good Volleyball, now they have to go out there and do just that again on Saturday.
Tekamah-Herman has to build off what they did Tuesday night, and let that play lead to more good play on Saturday.
Success breeds success, and the more winning the Tigers do on Saturday the better suited they will be for the rest of the season.
Tekamah-Herman will definitely be challenged on Saturday, but I think the Tigers can do well and win some sets and matches.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is a top team, and Tekamah-Herman nearly beat them Tuesday night.
This team certainly has lots of heart being low on numbers and all.
You can measure this team's success based on their heart, and they certainly aren't lacking any of it.
The Tigers appear to have played inspired Tuesday night, and I'll be curious to find out if it carries over into Saturday.
So was Tuesday night's good play just a one time thing or is it a sign of things to come for Tekamah-Herman?
I think it's definitely a sign of things to come and look for the Tigers to play well on Saturday and at West Point-Beemer on Tuesday.
