North Bend Central 3-3 in last six matches
The North Bend Central Volleyball Team is 3-3 in their last six matches, winning 3-0 at home over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family last Thursday night before losing 2-0 to David City Aquinas and 2-1 to Wayne at the North Bend Invite on Saturday. The Tigers beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 2-1 and lost 2-1 to Stanton at the North Bend Central Triangular Monday night before winning 3-1 at home over Wisner-Pilger Tuesday night.
NBC won 25-22, 25-23, and 25-18 over the Bulldogs.
The Tigers lost set one 25-22 and set two 25-19 to the Monarchs.
North Bend Central lost set one to the Blue Devils 25-11, won set two 25-23, and lost set three 25-20.
The Mustangs won set one 29-27 and set three 25-20 after the Tigers took set two 26-24.
The Raiders took set one 25-23 before NBC won set two 25-21 and set three 26-24.
The Tigers won set one over the Gators 25-14, and set two 25-13, before Wisner-Pilger won set three 25-18 only to see North Bend Central win set four 25-22 to close out the match.
Great win from North Bend Central Tuesday night. It appears the Tigers came out and played real well early, and smacked the Gators in the mouth.
North Bend Central (8-5) travels to Oakland to battle Oakland-Craig (8-4) Tuesday night.
The Knights won 3-0 at Yutan Thursday night.
Oakland-Craig is playing really good Volleyball lately, and the Tigers are playing well as of late also.
I think this match will definitely come down to the wire, and could very well be decided in five sets.
I think North Bend Central has a good chance to win this one in five sets, but things can truly go either way, in my opinion.
The Tigers need to play the way they did against Wisner-Pilger, and if they do I think they will be in good shape.
This is a match up of lots of great athletes on both teams.
NBC boasts Lauren and Sydney Emanuel, and Megan Ortmeier, while the Knights have the likes of Kennedy Benne, Bailey Helzer, Mya Guzinski, Makenna Pearson, and Rheanna Paul.
I think Oakland-Craig might be a little quicker and shiftier than the Tigers, but I give North Bend Central the advantage from a length and height standpoint.
I think the Tigers are probably longer than the Knights, and that should make for an interesting matchup.
I feel there are balls North Bend Central will be able to get to that Oakland-Craig won't be able to and vice versa.
The Tigers have to start Tuesday night's match the way they did last Tuesday night's match.
North Bend Central has to carry the momentum from that match over to this one, and play and execute well.
The Tigers have to get pumped and fired up for this one, and hit the ball with some mustard and authority.
North Bend Central has to play smart, but aggressive Volleyball Tuesday night.
The Tigers have to give it their all and leave everything out on the floor.
North Bend Central has to exert every ounce of energy in their bodies, and have nothing left in the tank after this match Tuesday night.
The Tigers have to play with the heart of a champion, and show that Tiger and school pride Tuesday night.
