North Bend Central wins Shelby-Rising City Triangular

The North Bend Central Volleyball Team won the Shelby-Rising City Triangular Tuesday night, defeating Madison 2-0 and the host Huskies 2-1.

The Tigers downed the Dragons 25-7 in set one, and 25-13 in set two.

NBC beat Shelby-Rising City 25-14 in set one, and lost set two 25-16 before winning set three 25-22.

Great way to start the season for the Tigers. North Bend Central definitely started things off on the right foot.

The Tigers (2-0) take part in the Northeast Nebraska Classic Thursday through Saturday.

I think North Bend Central has as good a chance as any team in this to win it.

The Tigers are already off to such a solid start, and I look for more great things from North Bend Central later this week.

I'm not for sure who the Tigers play on Thursday, but whoever it is North Bend Central needs to come out and play well and have a solid start.

Lauren Emanuel and others need to have things working and be clicking on all cylinders for the Tigers.

This team and program is already on the path of redemption after last year, and I look for North Bend Central to have a tremendous tournament later this week.

The Tigers established dominant play Tuesday night, and I look for that to continue and carry over into Thursday.

North Bend Central knows what it's like to win, and winning is what they should do a lot of in this tournament.

The Tigers have to be one of the favorites to win it and the conference this year.

If North Bend Central can win this tournament it should give them the confidence necessary to win the conference I would think.

A lot of work has to be done in order for that to happen, but it can definitely happen, that is for sure.

The Tigers just have to believe and must play and execute at a high level to make it happen.

I'm impressed with this team at the start of the season, and I think North Bend Central will only continue to get better as the season progresses.

If you think the Tigers are good now wait until late October/early November.

There's some great competition in this tournament and area, but I feel North Bend Central is up to the task of competing and doing well.

The Tigers are experienced, and having a really good basketball season last year and a lot of success in Volleyball prior to last year should really help.

As long as North Bend Central comes out and plays up to their potential in this tournament they should be just fine.
