GACC sweeps Boone Central/Newman Grove

The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Volleyball Team swept Boone Central/Newman Grove 3-0 at home Thursday night.

The Bluejays won set one 25-22, set two 25-18, and set three 25-21.

Sophia Hass had 14 kills and 8 digs while Evelyn Wooldrik had 8 kills and 7 blocks. Brooklyn Bailey notched 8 kills and 7 digs while Hanna Knobbe had 32 set assists.

Good win for GACC. A couple of the sets were tight, but the Bluejays found a way to win.

GACC (6-3) takes on Wayne (9-0) at home Tuesday night.

The Blue Devils beat North Bend Central and David City Aquinas at the North Bend Invite on Saturday.

This match is a huge challenge, but tremendous opportunity for the Bluejays.

I feel GACC has what it takes to win this one.

I wouldn't be surprised if the match went 5 sets.

Wayne is the real deal though.

The Blue Devils swept Ponca and Wisner-Pilger and beat perennial power Columbus Scotus 3-1.

The Bluejays are going to need to play a great match in order to come away with the win in this one.

It can definitely happen though.

GACC is at home, and I think that gives them an advantage.

The Bluejays have had a little more prep time for the Blue Devils than Wayne has had for them so that should help GACC as well.

The Bluejays are tough to beat at home, and I think GACC will give Wayne all they can handle and then some on Tuesday.

The Bluejays are also at O'Neill Thursday night so it's a big week for GACC.

The Bluejays have to step up, raise their level of play, and perform well.

There's no reason to think GACC can't pick up a couple of big wins this week.

The Bluejays just have to step up and play well, and go out there and make it happen.

GACC has to make plays under pressure, and perform under pressure as well.

The Bluejays have to rise up and have a good match on Tuesday.

GACC has to play with the heart of a champion, and get themselves very fired up for the match.

The Bluejays have a chance to make a statement this week, and have to make the most of both opportunities.
