Wisner-Pilger sweeps Madison and BRLD at home Double Triangular

The Wisner-Pilger Volleyball Team swept Madison and BRLD 2-0 at their home Double Triangular last Tuesday night.

The Gators downed the Wolverines 25-15 in set one and 25-10 in set two.

Jordan Wegner had 10 kills while Emily Hatterman totaled 7 digs and 21 set assists.

Wisner-Pilger won the first set over the Dragons 25-13, and claimed the second set 25-19.

Wegner registered 11 kills and 8 digs while Aspin Waterman notched 9 kills. Reagan Scholting recorded 14 digs while Hatterman posted 20 set assists.

Great effort from the Gators last Tuesday night. I thought Wisner-Pilger got back to their old selves.

The Gators (11-6) take on Lutheran High Northeast and GACC at the LHNE Triangular Thursday night.

This figures to be a difficult triangular as both the Eagles and Bluejays are solid teams.

I think Wisner-Pilger can definitely sweep it though.

The GACC match will be a good preview for Sub-Districts, in my opinion.

I think the Gators and Bluejays could very well meet in Sub-Districts again at the end of the season.

Wegner has to continue to step up and be a primetime performer Thursday night as does Hatterman.

Those two played outstanding against BRLD, and were big reasons why Wisner-Pilger won in the manner they did, in my opinion.

I think the Gators are playing as well as anyone right now, and have a good chance to do some great things in this Triangular.

Wisner-Pilger has to come ready to play, and has to be loose and confident.

The Gators can laugh and have fun, but at the same time need to be serious.

Wisner-Pilger has to come out and play their game and execute in all facets.

I look for the Gators to play well and at a high level Thursday night.

I think Wisner-Pilger will build off the things they did last Tuesday night.

You worry a little about being off for over a week, but I look for the Gators to be fresh and ready to go.

There's a lot of good competition and talent in on the floor in this Triangular, and Wisner-Pilger brings a lot of that.

If the Gators play like they did last week I think they have a chance to take both matches.

Both teams will be very tough and will challenge Wisner-Pilger no doubt, but I feel the Gators have what it takes to win both matches.

We will find out how bad Wisner-Pilger wants it and what they are made of though.

If the Gators can rattle off a bunch of wins prior to the East Husker Conference Tournament.....watch out.
