The Pender Volleyball Team went 2-2 at the East Husker Conference Tournament last week, falling 2-0 to Twin River at Howells-Dodge before beating Tekamah-Herman 2-0 last Thursday. The Pendragons beat BRLD 2-0, but lost 2-0 to North Bend Central at the Tournament at North Bend Central on Saturday. The Pendragons then lost 3-2 at BRLD Tuesday night.

Ashley Ostrand had 10 digs while Sadie Lamplot notched 8. Zoey Lehmkuhl dished out 11 set assists.
The Pendragons won 25-22 over Tekamah-Herman in set one and 25-18 in set two.
Kaylin Sandall had 7 digs while Lehmkuhl registered 13 set assists.
In the first meeting, Pender topped BRLD 25-23 in set one and 25-14 in set two.
Brittni Beckman notched 7 kills while Rylee Lehmkuhl and Ostrand posted 8 digs apiece. Sandall had 7 digs while Zoey Lehmkuhl posted 15 set assists.

I thought Pender really picked up their play and game and played well in the tournament last week and on Tuesday against the Wolverines.
The Pendragons (7-19) host Clarkson/Leigh (22-7) Monday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Patriots swept Oakland-Craig 3-0 on the road Tuesday night.
I feel both teams are playing their best Volleyball of the season right now.
I think Pender can compete and make this one interesting, but Clarkson/Leigh is very tough and good.
The Patriots will come ready to play and will play well, you can bet on that, so the Pendragons have to be ready to play their best also.
Pender has to play the way they did in the EHC Tournament against Tekamah-Herman and BRLD.
The Pendragons even played good Volleyball at BRLD on Tuesday I felt, but came up just a tad bit short of winning.
Pender has to continue to play the way they have lately, but must step up their game and raise their level of play even more.
I feel the Pendragons are capable of making things close with the Patriots, but things certainly won't be easy.
Pender has to make plays and make Clarkson/Leigh earn their points.
The Pendragons have to force the Patriots into mistakes and make them play uncharacteristic Volleyball.
Pender has to try and limit Hannah Kasik and Ashlynn Novotny and even Cassidy Hoffman offensively.
The Pendragons have to make good passes and hit well, avoiding hitting errors.
Pender has to hustle after loose balls and never give up on plays.
The Pendragons also have to have good court awareness and must know and communicate if balls are going to be out or in.
Blocking well will be critical for Pender too I feel.
First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull.
