BRLD oulasts Logan View/Scribner-Snyder in five

The BRLD Volleyball Team outlasted Logan View/Scribner-Snyder in five sets Tuesday night, defeating the Raiders in Lyons in action heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Wolverines claimed the first two sets 25-21 and 25-20 before dropping set three 26-24 and set four 25-23, but rebounding to win set five 15-11.

Head Coach Rebecca James on the win. "We were down and we didn't quit. We kept coming back, and we kept making hustle plays, and aggressive play at the net. And these girls have been working hard in practice like really hard. We've put stations back in, and we are doing some of the preseason stuff that we were doing before games started, and man I think that that has made a difference."

BRLD improves to 9-12 on the season and battles North Bend Central (7-10) on the road Tuesday night.

James on the matchup. "We're going to go into North Bend with the same kind of energy. North Bend is a different team than what they have been the last couple years. They've lost and graduated some seniors. And I think that our girls are really having some good chemistry right now."

North Bend Central outlasted Tekamah-Herman 3-2 on the road Thursday night.

I think given the Wolverines' win over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder last week and NBC's struggles against Tekamah-Herman they have a good chance to knock off North Bend Central.

The Tigers will be tough at home, but if BRLD can get this one perhaps they can make a run in the East Husker Conference Tournament.

The Wolverines drew Wisner-Pilger first, and the Gators have been very Helter Skelter this season.

And who knows, BRLD might be able to upset Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family after that.

I think the win over the Raiders has to give the Wolverines some assurance and belief that they are a good team and can beat some quality competition.

BRLD will be well rested Tuesday night, and the opportunity is there for the Wolverines to go into North Bend and pick up a win.

BRLD has to take advantage of the opportunity, and go out there and get the job done.

The Wolverines have to seize the moment and everything they ever wanted.

BRLD has to be tough at the net, and must slow down the bigs for the Tigers.

I think the Wolverines are pretty confident heading into North Bend Central and truly believe they can get the job done.

I think after Tuesday night BRLD can definitely win too.

Perhaps the win over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will spark a little run for the Wolverines.

I'm really excited to see what BRLD can do given the rest of their schedule.

I feel the Wolverines could be a real darkhouse in the Conference Tournament, and if they can pick up a win Tuesday night that will give them all the more confidence to do some damage in the EHC Tournament.
