Tekamah-Herman 1-4 in last five matches
The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team is 1-4 in their last five matches, losing 3-0 at home to Wisner-Pilger last Tuesday night in action heard on 107.9 the Bull, falling 2-0 to Howells-Dodge and Pender at the East Husker Conference Tournament at Howells-Dodge Thursday night, before beating Madison 2-0 at the Tournament on Saturday at North Bend Central. Tekamah-Herman lost 3-0 at Fremont Bergan Tuesday night.
The Tigers lost 25-11 in set one, 25-15 in set two, and 25-12 in set three to the Gators.
The Jaguars downed the Tigers 25-15 in set one and 25-13 in set two.
Tekamah-Herman lost 25-22 in the first set and 25-18 in the second set to the Pendragons.
Tekamah-Herman beat the Dragons 25-21 in set one and 25-23 in set two.
The Tigers lost set one 25-8 to the Knights, dropped set two 25-10, and lost set three 25-7.
Rough go of things for Tekamah-Herman. I thought the Tigers played well against the Dragons though.
Tekamah-Herman (2-25) hosts Howells-Dodge (15-12) Thursday night in action that will be carried on 107.9 the Bull.
The Jaguars lost 3-0 at North Bend Central Tuesday night.
Howells-Dodge is certainly slumping right now, and perhaps the Tigers can make things close and interesting and perhaps pull off the upset.
I go back to the night Tekamah-Herman nearly beat North Bend Central.
If Tekamah-Herman could recreate that night then I think they have a shot to pick up the win.
Both teams have really struggled this year and certainly anything can happen.
The Tigers have to come out and believe they can win.
It has been a long difficult season for Tekamah-Herman, but I still feel the Tigers have persevered and continued to battle.
Adversity has certainly hit Tekamah-Herman hard this year, but I think the Tigers have responded to it to the best of their ability.
Tekamah-Herman has to be excited about playing the game of Volleyball and has to want to succeed Thursday night.
The last couple of regular season matches are challenging, yet winnable for the Tigers I feel.
I think Tekamah-Herman has a shot to compete well in and perhaps win their final two regular season contests, they just have to put their minds to it.
The Tigers are also in a Sub-District where it's not out of the realm of possibility for a lower seed to make a run.
If Tekamah-Herman can beat Howells-Dodge and at least compete with BRLD then who knows what can happen in the postseason.
The Tigers have to enjoy Thursday night though.
It's the last time these seniors will ever play a match on their home floor.
The final time they will dawn the colors of Purple and Gold at Tekamah-Herman's home court.
The Tigers have to come out and play with pride and show some fight Thursday night.
First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull.
