North Bend Central beats Tekamah-Herman, sweeps BRLD

The North Bend Central Volleyball Team won 3-2 at Tekamah-Herman Thursday night before sweeping BRLD 3-0 at home Tuesday night.

North Bend Central defeated Tekamah-Herman 25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 16-25, 15-11.

North Bend Central won sets one and two 25-18 and set three 25-20 over the Wolverines.

Big difference from Thursday to Tuesday night for North Bend Central. NBC played a world of difference better against BRLD than they did Tekamah-Herman.

North Bend Central (8-10) takes on West Point-Beemer (10-12) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Stanton Thursday night.

The Cadets lost 2-0 to DC West and Oakland-Craig at the DC West Triangular last Tuesday night.

West Point-Beemer beat the Tigers 3-1 at home on September 20th.

Much different circumstances now than then though.

The Cadets have lost four in a row while North Bend Central picked up a big win over BRLD Tuesday night.

If the Tigers play like they did against the Wolverines then I think they stand a good chance to beat West Point-Beemer.

The Tigers were on fire the other night, and they can become a great team if they keep playing like that.

I'm sure North Bend Central would like a crack at Stanton, and would like to avoid the loser's bracket bye if at all possible.

I feel the Tigers are playing better Volleyball now than they were when they took on the Cadets the first time, and I feel West Point-Beemer isn't playing as well now as they were then.

North Bend Central could very well turn the tables on the Cadets this time around, we'll just have to see what happens.

I think the Tigers are playing good Volleyball right now, and are starting to get their season headed in the right direction.

I think this match is critical for North Bend Central's psyche in that if they win then they know they can beat West Point-Beemer in Sub-Districts.

I'm sure the Tigers already believe they can beat the Cadets, but to actually do it would be a big step in the right direction for North Bend Central without a doubt.

The Tigers have to go out there and play the way they did against BRLD on Tuesday.

North Bend Central will be hard to beat when they play like that.

I don't know if the Tigers can beat Stanton, but if they knock off West Point-Beemer and do it in convincing fashion then the Mustangs could have a challenge on their hands to say the least.

Thursday's match will start at 5:30 p.m. in Stanton.
