Tekamah-Herman goes undefeated in Boys Town Tourney
The Tekamah-Herman Tigers were dominant this weekend, going 3-0 at the Boys Town Tourney.
Tekamah-Herman downed Boys Town, Omaha Nation, and Clarinda Academy, IA 2-0.
The Tigers defeated Boys Town 25-9 in set one and 25-4 in set two.
Tekamah-Herman took care of Omaha Nation 25-9 in sets one and two.
The Tigers won the first set against Clarinda Academy 25-6, and the second set 25-8.
Tekamah-Herman was dominant this weekend. The Tigers didn't play the toughest teams, but Tekamah-Herman was very impressive and took care of business the way they were supposed to.
The Tigers are off to a very fine start.
Tekamah-Herman (3-0) is taking part in the Logan View Triangular on Tuesday, battling Twin River (1-3) and Logan View (0-2).
The Titans went 1-3 in their first four matches to open the season, downing Osceola 3-1 on the road Thursday night before going 0-3 at the Shamrock Invite on Saturday, losing 2-0 to Norfolk Catholic, Stanton, and Bishop Neumann.
The Raiders lost 3-0 at home to Douglas County West on Thursday, and fell 2-0 to David City at the David City Tournament on Saturday.
I look for the Tigers to beat both teams. Tekamah-Herman certainly has to take things one match at a time and can't get too ahead of themselves, but if the Tigers play the type of volleyball they did this weekend, they should have no trouble defeating both squads.
The Tigers have the Boone Central Tournament on Saturday so it's important for Tekamah-Herman to play well in their two matches on Tuesday in order to prepare for Saturday.
I think the Tigers have a chance to go undefeated again this week. Tekamah-Herman will likely be tested in the Boone Central Tournament, but I think the Tigers have the horses to beat anyone they play.
Tekamah-Herman has to continue to play at a high level, and can't be intimidated by anyone.
The Tigers have to go out there and play their game, and let the rest take care of itself. If Tekamah-Herman does that they will be just fine.
I really think the Tigers have a chance to have a special season if they continue to play the way they did this weekend.
