Logan View starts season 0-2
The Logan View Raiders are off to an 0-2 start as they lost 3-0 at home to Douglas County West Thursday night, and 2-0 to David City at the David City Invite on Saturday.
In the Douglas County West match, the Falcons won set one 25-11, set two 25-19, and set three 25-6.
In the David City match, the Scouts took set one 25-5 and set two 25-16.
I think we've learned that Logan View is capable of being competitive, but they really struggle at certain times.
The Raiders must become more consistent if they want to win matches this year.
Logan View (0-2) battles Tekamah-Herman (3-0) and Twin River (1-3) at the Logan View Triangular on Tuesday.
The Tigers went 3-0 at the Boys Town Tourney this weekend, downing Boys Town, Omaha Nation, and Clarinda Academy, IA 2-0.
The Titans went 1-3 in their first four matches to open the season, downing Osceola 3-1 on the road Thursday night before going 0-3 at the Shamrock Invite on Saturday, losing 2-0 to Norfolk Catholic, Stanton, and Bishop Neumann.
I think the Raiders have a chance to be competitive against Tekamah-Herman, and are capable of beating Twin River.
Logan View just has to play at a high level at all times, and can't afford to have any bad sets.
There's not a lot of room for error with this team so the Raiders can't get down on themselves if they fall behind.
Logan View has to find a way to remain competitive throughout both matches. That's the only way they're going to be able to win.
The Raiders are taking part in the North Bend Central Invite on Saturday so Logan View has plenty of opportunities to get things turned around.
The Raiders have to focus on playing well for an entire match. If Logan View makes every set respectable from here on out, that could lead to better results.
Getting things turned around won't be easy, but this team has to show resolve and persevere. The Raiders have to respond to adversity, and step up their game.
