North Bend Central has 5-1 week

The North Bend Central Tigers played at a high level last week, defeating Pender and Emerson-Hubbard 2-0 last Tuesday at the Emerson-Hubbard Triangular before downing Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 3-0 at home on Thursday. North Bend Central beat Logan View and Raymond Central 2-0 on Saturday at the North Bend Invite before losing 2-0 to Columbus Scotus, also on Saturday.

The Tigers won set one over the Mustangs 25-17, and nabbed set two 25-12.

North Bend Central lost set one 25-21 to Columbus Scotus, and dropped set two 25-22.

Kristin Lux led the way with 12 kills and 10 digs. Kylee Hines notched 9 digs while Fredrickson totaled 7. Bjorklund had 12 set assists while White dished out 11.

The Tigers played at a very high level last week. Emerson-Hubbard is a solid team, and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family is a better team than their record shows.

Scotus is Scotus, and North Bend Central's not the first team to fall to the Shamrocks this season.

The Tigers (8-3) host Wisner-Pilger (6-0) on Tuesday.

These two teams met on September 5th in the Northeast Nebraska Tournament with the Gators winning 2-1.

Wisner-Pilger downed West Point-Beemer 3-0 last Tuesday.

The Gators are a tough, quality team, but I know North Bend Central would love nothing more than to get revenge on Wisner-Pilger.

Both teams are playing at a high level right now so it will be interesting to see who prevails.

I feel that the Gators are the hotter team coming in, but the Tigers are definitely capable of turning the tables and winning this time around.

I see this match going five sets. These two teams are no strangers to one another, and that should make for a compelling match.

A point here or a point there could make the difference in who wins.

I suspect both teams will get after one another. This is a match that could go either way.
