Tekamah-Herman off to strong 5-2 start

The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team is off to a good, 5-2 start.

The Tigers lost 2-0 to Wayne, but beat Pender 2-0 at the Northeast Nebraska Tournament on Thursday. Tekamah-Herman lost 2-1 to GACC, but beat Lutheran High Northeast and Wakefield 2-1 at the tournament on Saturday. The Tigers topped Logan View and Twin River 2-0 at their home Triangular Tuesday night.

The Tigers downed the Pendragons 25-15 in set one, and 25-8 in set two.

The Blue Devils topped Tekamah-Herman 25-15 in the first set, and 25-22 in the second set.

The Trojans won set one 25-23 before the Tigers took set two 25-14 and set three 25-19.

The Eagles won the first set 25-19 before Tekamah-Herman won the second set 25-22 and the third set 25-21.

The Tigers took set one from the Bluejays, 26-24, before losing set two 25-21, and set three 25-16.

Tekamah-Herman downed the Titans 26-24 in the opening set, and 25-17 in the second and decisive set.

The Tigers took down the Raiders 25-16 in set one, and 25-11 in set two.

Very strong start for the Tigers. Tekamah-Herman has beaten the teams they were supposed to beat, and picked up some big wins too such as the LHNE victory. I think this team has gotten better each and every time out.

The Tigers (5-2) take part in the Boone Central Invite on Saturday.

Tough tournament with the host Cardinals, O'Neill, and Stanton involved.

Tekamah-Herman should have a chance to beat at least two of the teams in this tournament though.

I don't know if the Tigers are ready to take down the defending Class C-2 State Champion Mustangs, but Tekamah-Herman can definitely beat BC/NG and O'Neill, in my opinion.

I think this tournament will be a good step up in competition for the Tigers.

I look for the Tigers to hold their own and compete well, perhaps taking a set from Stanton if the two play.

If the Tigers can do something like that I think they would take it and feel good about themselves.

It's important for Tekamah-Herman to keep taking steps forward, and grow and improve in this tournament.

I feel the Tigers have a good chance to have success in this tournament and do some nice things.

Tekamah-Herman is a very good team this year, and figures to be a force to be reckoned with all season.

One could argue the Tigers haven't beaten anyone besides LHNE, but I think this Tekamah-Herman team is very solid.

With all but one starter back it's definitely the Tigers' year to do something and make some noise.

I look for Tekamah-Herman to have a good showing in this tournament, and play well.

Again, I think it's a step in competition for the Tigers so I could see the matches being more difficult than some Tekamah-Herman has had thus far, but the Tigers should step up and answer the bell and play well come Saturday.

Tekamah-Herman is doing some nice things this year...they just need to simply keep it up.

Keep taking steps forward and progress...that has to be the goal for the Tigers in this young season.

I think winning at least a couple matches on Saturday would be good progress for this team.

If Tekamah-Herman can beat the teams they're supposed to, and push a team like Stanton, I think that would have to be considered a job well done.

It should be a good day for the Gold and Purple.
