Logan View falls at Pender

The Logan View Volleyball team lost 3-1 at Pender Tuesday night.

The Raiders won set one 27-25, but lost the next three sets 25-14, 25-15, and 25-23.

Tough loss for Logan View, but I think the Raiders have to be encouraged by the fact they took the first set.

Logan View (2-6) takes on Howells-Dodge (8-2) on the road Thursday night.

The Jaguars won 3-0 at Wakefield Tuesday night.

Howells-Dodge is a pretty mighty team yet again this year, and taking a set, let alone beating the Jaguars, is a challenge for sure, but this Raider team has to be confident in their abilities, and expect to get the job done.

The Jaguars are a tougher team than the Pendragons I would say, but I think the Raiders can potentially take a set from Howells-Dodge at least.

I could also see this match being a sweep, but Logan View has to come out and play hard and have fun.

I think winning set one against Pender is something the Raiders can build off of and use in this match.

Logan View has been more competitive this year than in recent years, and so I look for the Raiders to make strides in this match as well.

I'm not exactly sure how you would measure success in this match, but if Logan View can limit hitting and passing errors, serve receive well, and not commit many service errors, then I think that could be looked at as progress and success if you are the Raiders, win or lose.

The Jaguars are a very potent team yet again this year, and beating them on their home floor is going to be tough without a doubt, but the only way you get better is by playing tough competition.

Logan View has to be positive and view this match as a learning experience that only makes them stronger down the line.

The ultimate goal is to win, that's why you practice and play the games, but I still think there is a moral victory or moral victories to be had in this match should the Raiders lose.

Logan View isn't going to become a great team overnight, it takes time. So the girls just have to be patient and trust the process.

That can be difficult for the Juniors and Seniors, but success just simply takes time whether one likes to admit it or not.

So the girls just have to keep working hard and continue to gel and bond well together to improve themselves.

The closer this team is on and off the court the better they're going to play in matches.

Not everyone has to be best friends, but if everyone on the team can get along with one another then that's a positive sign.
