The North Bend Central Volleyball Team went 2-0 at their own Tournament on Saturday, beating Raymond Central 2-0 and Wayne 2-1.
The Tigers took set one from the Blue Devils, 25-15, before losing set two 25-17. North Bend Central rebounded to win set three 25-12.
The Tigers downed the Mustangs 25-9 in the first set, and 25-14 in the second set.
Solid match play by North Bend Central. The Tigers probably should of swept Wayne though.
North Bend Central (10-0) hosts Wisner-Pilger (5-2) Tuesday night in a match that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.
The Gators swept West Point-Beemer 3-0 at home this past Tuesday night.
The Tigers downed Wisner-Pilger 2-0 last Saturday at the Northeast Nebraska Tournament in Wisner.
If North Bend Central is focused and on top of their game I think the Tigers have a good chance to sweep the Gators again.
All the sets should be close, but North Bend Central is a mighty tough team.
Wisner-Pilger has Jordan Wegner and Maci Batenhorst, but the Tigers have West Virginia commit Kristin Lux and Midland commit Brooke Fredrickson.
North Bend Central is loaded, and will be tough for anyone to beat this season.
The Tigers are undefeated for a reason. North Bend Central is a very good team.
With that said, this is a huge match, and the Tigers have to step up and deliver the goods again.
North Bend Central has played superb Volleyball throughout the course of the season, and I look for that to continue Tuesday night.
This is the Tigers' only match of the week before a big week next week that figures to be full of more wins for the Orange, Black, and White.
It has been a great season for North Bend Central so far, and the Tigers have to find a way to keep the mojo and magic going Tuesday night.
Going undefeated may not be on North Bend Central's mind, but winning your first 10 matches of the season at least has to spark the conversation a little bit.
The Tigers have run the table so far, and I'm thinking they can keep running it for a while at least.
Tough matches with the likes of Malcolm, Tekamah-Herman, Stanton, and Howells-Dodge await, but North Bend Central has already proven they can hang with and beat some great teams.
The Tigers have to play great Volleyball at all times, and must remained focused throughout every single match.
North Bend Central can't afford any slip ups. The Tigers have to be on top of their game at all times if at all possible.
First serve is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on 107.9 the Bull.
