Winnebago swept at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge

The Winnebago Volleyball Team lost 3-0 at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Thursday night.

The Indians fell in sets one and two 25-17, and lost set three 25-12.

I thought Winnebago did a decent job of competing in the first two sets, but it appears the Indians ran out of gas in the third set.

Winnebago (7-15) takes on Wakefield (8-12) and Homer (6-17) at the Wakefield Triangular Thursday night.

The Trojans swept Emerson-Hubbard 3-0 at home Tuesday night while the Knights topped Pender 3-1 on the road the same night.

All three teams are about equal record wise, but I look for Wakefield to win the triangular.

I think the Indians have a chance to be competitive against both teams, but I think it's going to be tough for Winnebago.

Not to take anything away from the Indians, but the Indians have losses to 3 win Emerson-Hubbard and 5 win Logan View.

The teams Winnebago has beaten would get beat by a lot of teams in the state.

That shouldn't get the Indians down though. 7 wins is a vast improvement over last year.

The Indians have to use this week of practice to fine tune some things, and get ready for the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament.

I think this Triangular will give Winnebago a good idea of the type of teams they're going to see in that Tournament.

I think it's critical for the Indians to do well Thursday night to give themselves a chance to have success in the Conference Tournament.

As much success as Winnebago has had this year, the Indians need to step up their game and play even better.

Winnebago needs to see vast improvement within the next week if they want to make more strides and take more steps in the right direction.

The Indians have to step up their game and play even better than they have been, and do what they can to play at the highest level possible.

Winnebago has to do something to make themselves better between now and Thursday night. These girls have to hold each other accountable in practice and things of that nature.
