Winnebago falls to Madison in Sub-Districts

The Winnebago Volleyball Team lost 3-0 to Madison Monday night at the C1-7 Sub-District Tournament at Norfolk High.

The Indians lost set one 25-12, set two 25-18, and set three 25-19.

Tough end to the season for Winnebago.

The Indians end the season at 7-19.

It was another hard season for Winnebago, but the Indians did win 7 matches this year.

I think that's something encouraging and to build on for Winnebago.

The Indians say goodbye to seniors Helene Cox, Deona Harris, Laura Neff, and Jonna Price.

These four will be sorely missed I'm sure.

Winnebago brings back the likes of Jean Parker-Morris, Tia YellowThunder, Jaciah Earth, Jaiden Payer, and Kae Earth.

The Indians should have a strong core and nucleus back next season, and that should lead to even more improvement for Winnebago I would think.

These girls have to work hard every time they take to the floor and weightroom in the offseason, and workout with authority and purpose.

Going to open gyms and team camps on a consistent basis will be important to the growth and development of the Indians, in my opinion.

Winnebago has to do something to be even more competitive than they were this season.

There's no reason why the Indians should get swept by the Dragons.

Winnebago is better than to get swept by Madison.

The Indians have to use the match as fuel and motivation to get better in the offseason.

I thought Winnebago did some nice things this season, but kind of dropped off and wasn't as competitive at the end of the season.

The Indians lost their last 6 matches, including the last two to 4 win teams, and the 3rd to last to a 7 win team.

That has to serve as motivation and determination to be and do better in the offseason.

There's plenty of room for improvement and lots for Winnebago to work on before next fall rolls around.

The Indians just have to be committed to hard work and excellence every day they wake up to play the sport this offseason.

Winnebago also has to get excited and geared up for basketball season.

The Indians have to tear things up on the court.
