Winnebago splits Allen Triangular; loses to Omaha Christian Academy at home

The Winnebago Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to Allen, but beat Whiting, Iowa 2-0 at the Allen Triangular Tuesday night before falling 3-0 at home to Omaha Christian Academy Thursday night.

Allen downed Winnebago 25-20 in set one, and 25-9 in set two.

The Indians defeated Whiting, Iowa 25-20 in sets one and two.

The Eagles knocked off Winnebago 28-26 in set one, 25-21 in set two, and 25-23 in set three.

I thought the Indians competed well, and made things close, interesting, and competitive against all three schools.

Winnebago (7-14) travels to Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (6-14) to take on the Bears Thursday night.

The Bears won 3-1 at Bloomfield Thursday night.

The Indians have a shot to win this match, in my opinion.

Winnebago will have had entire week to prepare for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge while the Bears play on Saturday.

The Indians have to take advantage of the extra practice time, and get revved up for this game.

Winnebago has made a lot of strides since last season, and is having a decent year by many accounts.

And I think a win over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge would be the Indians' biggest victory of the season.

Winnebago has to be positive, and must have a positive, contagious attitude that leads to great results.

The Indians have to rally around each other in practice and turn in solid efforts prior to this match.

You play like you practice, and that Winnebago is certainly no exception to that theory.

The Indians need to have good practices before they take the court on Thursday.

Winnebago has some very winnable matches on the horizon, and has to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them.

The Indians are already better than they were last year I would say, but there's still wins out there to be had for Winnebago.

The Indians aren't done just yet. There's too much left in the season for Winnebago to be satisfied with what they've done.

The Indians have to want more, and it must show in their attitude and play on the court in practice and in matches.

I really think Winnebago has a shot to go on a little run here before season's end. The Indians may win their next three matches or they may lose them all it just depends on how well they perform and how badly they want it.
