Tekamah-Herman loses season opener to BRLD

The Tekamah-Herman Volleyball Team lost 3-0 at BRLD in Thursday night's season opener.

The Tigers fell 25-20 in set one, 25-12 in set two, and 25-16 in set three.

Rylee Lawson had 13 assists.

I thought Tekamah-Herman did a good job of making things close in set one.

The Tigers (0-1) battle Wayne (1-0) and West Point-Beemer in the Northeast Nebraska Classic at West Point-Beemer Thursday night.

The Blue Devils swept Ponca 3-0 at home in this past Thursday night's season opener.

Impressive win for Wayne to say the least.

Tekamah-Herman has to watch out for Lauren Pick as she had 21 kills against the Indians.

The Tigers must play an outstanding match in order to do well in this one.

The Blue Devils appear to be the real deal, and beating them doesn't look or figure to be a small or easy task.

Tekamah-Herman has to go in there with the mindset that they can and will win though.

The Cadets are much improved and a team on the rise as well so things don't figure to be easy whatsoever.

The Tigers have to expect to win and must compete to win and have that kind of attitude.

Tekamah-Herman has to be scrappy and must fight and claw their way to success.

Hopefully everything gets played this week with the pandemic situation, but so far I haven't heard of any postponements or cancellations or anything.

Let's hope things continue to progress well and that we continue to have matches played and tournaments won.

This should be a very entertaining and highly competitive tournament, and the Tigers have to do their best to put a dent in things.
