The Wisner-Pilger Volleyball Team has gotten their season on track, sweeping North Bend Central 3-0 at home Thursday night before winning 2-0 over Stanton and Pender at the Stanton Triangular Tuesday night.
The Gators beat the Tigers 25-15, 25-21, and 25-22.
Emily Buhrman had 11 kills and 7 digs while Lindsey Kneifl totaled 9 kills and 8 digs. Reagan Scholting and Lily Otten registered 8 and 7 kills, respectively. Adi Meyer had 24 assists while Cameryn Bellar totaled 17.
Wisner-Pilger topped the Mustangs 25-19 in set one and 25-17 in set two.
Kneifl had 7 digs while Bellar and Meyer recorded 15 and 11 assists, respectively.
The Gators beat the Pendragons 25-10 in set one and 25-17 in set two.
Buhrman and Otten each had 7 kills while Joslyn Jacobs posted 10 digs. Scholting added 7 digs while Meyer compiled 18 assists.
Very impressive play from Wisner-Pilger as of late.
The Gators (6-5) take on Battle Creek (12-1) and Crofton (7-7) at the Crofton Triangular Thursday night.
The Bravettes beat Neligh-Oakdale 3-0 Tuesday night while the Warriors beat Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 3-1 at home Tuesday night.
Both teams are solid, and Wisner-Pilger is going to need to be able to play very well in order to be successful.
I think the Gators have a chance to win both matches and win this Triangular given the way they are playing right now.
I feel like Battle Creek will be the tougher of the two matches though.
Wisner-Pilger has to go up there ready to compete and play well.
I think the Gators will do just that, and go on to have a fine and fantastic Triangular.
I feel like balanced offensive production has made all the difference for Wisner-Pilger as of late.
The Gators have to continue to get that and have to keep playing and performing well.
I look for Wisner-Pilger to continue to get that too, and for the Gators to keep playing at a very high level.
Anything can happen in this Triangular, and if I'm the Bravettes and Warriors I'm not so sure I want to see Wisner-Pilger right now.
