The Stanton Volleyball Team went 0-3 at the Columbus Scotus Invitational on Saturday, losing 2-0 to Columbus Lakeview and Pierce, but beating Twin River 2-0.
The Viqueens took set one 25-14 and set two 25-8.
The Mustangs took sets one and two 25-15 from the Titans.
Olivia Cunningham had 7 kills while Haylea Nelson and Bridgett Jensen totaled 12 and 8 assists, respectively.
The Bluejays won set one 25-16 and set two 25-11.
Good for Stanton to pick up a win against Twin River.
The Mustangs (2-5) take part in the Boone Central Invite on Saturday.
Stanton's first opponent is Crofton (2-3), who they play at 9:00 a.m.
The Warriors lost 3-0 at home to O'Neill Thursday night.
It's a bright and early game for the Mustangs, and Stanton has to go out there and play well.
I think Stanton has a chance to succeed in this tournament, and has to go out there and get fired and pumped up and be ready to rock and roll.
It should be a competitive tournament for the Mustangs, and I think Stanton should compete with and hold their own against the teams in this tournament.
The Mustangs have to go out there and play hard and do everything they can to win.
Stanton has to let their play take care of itself and do the talking and go out there and do work.
