Stanton loses to Oakland-Craig and Tekamah-Herman at Tekamah-Herman Triangular

The Stanton Volleyball Team lost 2-0 to Oakland-Craig and Tekamah-Herman at the Tekamah-Herman Triangular Tuesday night.

The Knights claimed set one 25-18 and set two 25-16.

The Tigers took the opening set 25-23 and the second set 25-12.

A couple of tough losses for Stanton.

The Mustangs (4-15) host Wayne (15-7) Thursday night.

The Blue Devils beat West Point-Beemer and Arlington 2-0 at the Arlington Triangular Tuesday night.

Wayne has won 7 in a row while Stanton has dropped 8 out of their last 9 so the Mustangs have a difficult task and battle on their hands come Thursday night.

Stanton has to show some fight though and go out there and compete.

I feel like the Mustangs could and should be more competitive this year than they have been so far.

It has been a difficult go of things for Stanton this year.

The Mustangs returned quite a bit from last year too I believe.

I kind of feel like Stanton has kind of underachieved and fallen off some this season.

The Mustangs are definitely capable of getting back to the level they've been at in recent years, but something has to spark a change.

Stanton has to light a fire under themselves and go out there and play great Volleyball Thursday night.

Many are probably thinking this match is going to be 3-0 Wayne, and it very well could be, but the Mustangs can't go into and approach this one thinking that.

Stanton has to go in there expecting to win and dominate like they have in recent years.

The Mustangs have to step up their game and try and get things turned around before season's end.

Much easier said than done though given who Stanton has left on the schedule this year.
