The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Volleyball Team fell 2-0 to West Point-Beemer and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family at the H/LHF Triangular last Tuesday night before losing 3-0 at Howells-Dodge on Saturday in a makeup game.
The Bulldogs won set one 26-24 and set two 25-23.
Dream Daugherty had 11 kills and 11 digs while Grace Schlueter posted 7 kills. Karlie Hansen added 9 digs while Stormy Poast notched 8. Leah Keithley registered 7 digs and 20 assists.
The Cadets took the opening set 25-17, and the 2nd set 25-20.
Daugherty finished with 7 kills while Keithley notched 11 assists.
The Jaguars took set one 25-16, set two 25-9, and set three 25-17.
Miranda Batenhorst finished with 8 assists.
I thought the Raiders fought and competed hard last Tuesday.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (5-14) plays host to Louisville (4-13) Thursday night.
The Lions went 1-2 at their home Invite on Saturday, losing 2-0 to Omaha Mercy, and 2-1 to Cedar Bluffs, but beating Omaha Brownell Talbot 2-0.
This should be an interesting match.
I think everything sort of hinges on which team shows up for both teams.
If the Raiders bring their A game and Louisville brings their best too then it should be a great match.
If both teams are off their game then it should still be a good match.
But if one team is on and the other is off is when this match could be a quick one.
I don't feel that will be the case though.
I feel this is a pretty equal and even match, and I look for both teams to really get after one another.
I think LVSS has the advantage being at home and everything.
It's a bit of a road trip for Louisville, and the two teams are kind of new to each other with the Raiders joining the Capitol Conference and everything.
It will be interesting to see how the teams feel one another out and adjust and adapt to one another.
I think both teams will play well and have periods of struggle, all in the same match, making things pretty even in the end.
I think this match could go 5 sets.
